Meeting Update

Our next meeting is going to be on Nov. 12th.  We are selling bags and shirts again this year.  Those have to be in by Thursday night by 4:30 p.m. in the locker for the first round of shirts and bags there will be a second ordering later in the semester.  The shirts are $10.00 and the bags are $15.00.  It will be $25.00 for both and you can make the check out to W.I.U. SEA.  We will be doing a community project during the meeting called makeachildsmile.org.  This will be a community project for the fall semester.

Homecoming Update

Homecoming was a very good success this year.  We as a organization participated in the Rock the Flag, Dec the Campus, Dec the Town, and the Parade.  We made a flag in correspondence with the theme "All Around the World".  We thought that with it being all around that world that we could put on our flag and our windows "Teachers All Around the World".  For the parade, we worked very hard on the float.  We had walked with our flag in the parade with the float and ended up dressing up to look like other people around the world.  We as a organization took 2nd Place in the parade for our float and took 2nd Place overall for the small organization division.  You can see pictures of our float and flag by clicking the homecoming at the top of the page.  We did get two trophies one for the parade and one for the overall standings.  They will be on display at our next meeting.

Softball Tournament

We had the Softball tournament at Everly Park in Macomb.  There were three teams that participated in the tournament.  We ended up getting some money for our activities or conference for this year.  We were also taking donations for the community project that will be held at the Macomb Jr. Sr. high in the spring.  All the teams in volved had a great time and are looking forward in doing it next year.  We are going to try to expand the tournment to may be a two day event if it works out.
