A variety of scholarships are available for attending the SLA 2008. Please act quickly; the number of scholarships is limited.
New Member Scholarships - The IEA is offering a scholarship to members who have worked in public schools four years or less who have not previously attended Summer Leadership Academy. A local association can apply for up to two New Member Scholarships (worth $100 for the three-day program). To qualify, the local must send one paying member for each scholarship it receives. NEWMEM.)
Small Local Scholarships - Local associations with 75 or fewer members can apply for one free scholarship ($100 for the three-day program) for each paying participant attending the SLA. (When registering online, use the discount code
SMLLOC.)
Applying for a Scholarship - To apply for either of the above, indicate the scholarship you are seeking on your SLA registration form. Deduct the amount of the scholarship from any registration fees due. (When registering online, please be sure to enter the discount code.) Please remember to include your email address, so we can communicate with you regarding the scholarship.
