David Bishop: Recipient of IEA Retirement Award
David Bishop lives in Canton, Illinois with his wife of forty years, Mary Louise, and adult children Damon and Erin. While teaching English, Speech, and Drama in the Canton schools, he sponsored the Cantonian (yearbook). David retired from the school system in 2001. He has also been involved in teaching classes for the Illinois River Correctional Facilities.
David’s involvement with IEA Region 13 began with his election as Vice-Chair and has continued with his active participation in IEA’s retired teachers’ organization.
David enjoys singing, reading, gardening, traveling and watching movies. He is also an active member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Canton.
