Instruction and Professional Development Services

• Providing support and technical assistance in employee-directed school reform and restructuring efforts;
• Monitoring NEA's professional development initiatives and communicating them to members;
• Increasing professional development opportunities for leadership and members;
• Developing professional development content for the lEA web site;
• Monitoring activities of the State Board of Education and other agencies and organizations which affect the instruction and professional development concerns of IEA-NEA members;
• Training leaders and staff on education-related issues important to the profession;
• Developing bargaining strategies around school restructuring and other education-related issues; and
  Advising the Association regarding policies and strategies to advance the professional interests of members.
