The IEA-NEA provides staff assistance to encourage the organization of education majors and other students interested in the teaching profession. The IEA-NEA Student Program prepares future teachers as future leaders and future professionals. The goals of the IEA-NEA Student Program are to: a) establish student associations on community college and university campuses; b) provide students with information about the profession and inform them of the benefits of IEA-NEA membership; c) involve students in organizational activities, including professional development, leadership training, political action and community outreach; d) assist the IEA Student Program Executive Board and Student Program Advisory Board to build and maintain a strong state program.
