The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) has developed a new ISAT and PSAE Accommodation Guidance document for testing English Language Learners (ELL). This is needed because the IMAGE test is no longer considered acceptable by the U.S. Department of Education for meeting the No Child Left Behind requirements.
Specifically, this document provides guidance on how to determine and administer appropriate accommodations for ELLs for the upcoming assessments.
