2007 NEA Representative Assembly, Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaDelegates will gather June 30 through July 5 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the Association's 145th Annual Meeting and 86th Representative Assembly.
 
The National Education Association Representative Assembly (RA) is NEA's highest decision-making body. With over 9,000 delegates, it is also the world's largest democratic, deliberative body.
 
The RA is convened every July during the Annual Meeting. The first two days are devoted to discussions, conferences, and exhibits—but the highlight is the Representative Assembly itself. During this important event, delegates debate issues that impact American public education, elect top officers, and set policy for the 3.2 million-member Association.

Illinois Nite

Join us June 30, 2007 at 6:00 pm for Illinois Nite at the NEA RA in Philadelphia.  A dinner cruise on the Spirit of Philadelphia.  Illinois Nite includes: Bus transportation to and from ship, dinner, cruise, dancing, and fireworks. Delegates are urged to make your reservations early - limited seats available.

IEA delegate wear for the 2007 NEA Convention will also be a blue vest with the IEA logo. This vest is available for purchase from the IEA for $20.00.

NEA RA Apparel

Orders due by June 8th, 2007; Shirts are great gifts for your state contact!  All shirts will be delivered at the IL caucus in Philadelphia, PA.  We will not be selling these at the NEA RA so please make your selections now.
