Rich Frankenfeld Gives TRS Update

at November Meeting

Rich Frankenfeld, TRS Director of Outreach, presented an interesting slideshow at our November meeting. This short slideshow gave the members an overview of the Teacher's Retirement System. Rich spoke about basic benefits and the financial investments of TRS. The members were happy to hear that TRS investments have remained financially sound through these tough economic times. Rich also provided the members with contact information should they have a need to get in touch with the TRS offices. He assured our members that TRS is there to answer your questions and be of service to its annuitants.

Jack Tucker Explains New Mapping Software

at September Meeting

IEA-Retired Chair, Jack Tucker, was the speaker at Southwestern Chapter's September meeting. Jack brought along a power-point presentation on the new IEA Mapping Software. This software will enable the IEA to graph and pinpoint areas in Illinois that are lacking in membership or need more recruiting, etc. Actually, there are many other uses for the software and it will prove to be a useful tool for the Retired IEA in locating areas of the state that need more involvement in starting locals.
