Liv Lib
Living Library
......a pilot program between Retired Mentors and Student Mentees
The Living Library began four years ago by the retired and student programs of IEA, NEA, and Mind University. It is an 'online' filing cabinet accessible to any internet-connected computer where teachers can store ideas, assignments, and more to share with mentees, future teachers, and new teachers. Currently, retired members, active members, and student members are being trained to start their own 'online' filing cabinets. Also, this past summer at the NEA/RA the cabinet was opened to NEA constituents. This electronic cabinet is expanding to use in other states as well as Illinois. Creating a filing cabinet is free to IEA retired and active members who create their cabinets for student access/use. If you are interested in starting your own 'online' filing cabinet contact Linda Walcher at lindyloo50@aol.com or Janet Kilgus, djkilgus@davesworld.net
Linda Walcher (Southwestern Chapter) and Janet Kilgus (Region14/62 Retired Chapter) work as trainers in the Living Library program.
.
Dan and Steve Fouts, founders of Mind University and the creators of the Living Library, assist in the training workshops.
