** FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE **

BETH BRAUN (Truman) - CCCLOC Member Accepted into National Higher Education EMERGING LEADERS ACADEMY

We have been informed that BETH BRAUN (Biology Adjunct Professor at Truman College) has been chosen to be in the next EMERGING LEADERS ACADEMY Class of 2012-2013.
I was proud to recommend her for the program and am confident that she will represent CCCLOC, our Region and our State in this national program.

The Emerging Leaders Academy (ELA) is a nation-wide program run by the NEA (National Education Association) for promising leaders in higher education.
It is a selective program where candidates are interviewed for their interest and potential in union leadership, and to forward the goals of unionism.
Beth continues a great legacy at CCCLOC... CCCLOC has had three other members accepted into and complete the program:
Past president Jim Heniff, current president Floyd Bednarz, and our newest graduate and recently-elected Membership Director, Curtis Keyes.

Congratulations to Beth and we look forward to great things as she goes through this challenging program!

Yours in Solidarity,
Floyd Bednarz
President, CCCLOC
