In response to your input, we are in the process of completely updating the "Financial Procedures for Locals and Regions" manual. The material is reorganized and a lot of new information is included. We have specifically tried to address your requests for more "nuts and bolts" instructions on the basics of financial procedures. The new version is about 90% complete, and we would like your assessment. If you are a "veteran" local leader, your perspective and insights would be valuable. If you are a "rookie," you can help us by telling us how the manual could be changed to better meet your needs.
The Illinois State Board of Elections recently provided us with some interpretations and clarifications concerning the reporting requirements for your local IPACE funds.
The Pension Protection Act of 2006 requires certain small not-for-profit organizations to begin filing a new form annually- Form 990-N which is more commonly known as the “e-Postcard.” This form is primarily designed for not-for-profits that are not required to file the regular 990 or 990-EZ form because their annual receipts are less than $25,000.
