Why belong to the IEACU?
There are several reasons why you should join the IEA Credit Union.
Like the IEA, the Credit Union exists to serve your interest and welfare. Our goal is not to turn a profit, but to return our earnings to you through higher savings dividends and lower interest rates on loans.
The IEA Credit Union is a financial cooperative. It is owned and operated by its members. As a member, you are treated like an owner, not just a customer.
At the IEA Credit Union your money is safe. Every account is insured up to at least $100,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the U.S. Government. In addition, all IEA Credit union employees are bonded up to one-half million dollars.
The IEA Credit Union promotes the financial future of the education community. When you join the IEA Credit Union, you support the organization whose sole purpose is to support you.
How can I join?
Joining the IEA Credit Union is easy. You need only to complete a membership form, pay a $3.00 membership fee, and open a savings account with a minimum deposit of $25.00. That's it!
Important Information About Procedures for Opening a New Account
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.
