Four Chicago-area Golden Apple winners celebrated

Rep. votes to extend unemployment

U.S. Rep. Bill Foster approved this week a federal measure to extend unemployment insurance an extra 13 weeks in states with unemployment rates higher than 8.5 percent, including Illinois.
