NEA Academy and teacher toolbox offer course in reducing workplace violence

NEAAcademyIt is an unfortunate reality that in today’s workplace, violent incidents are occurring more frequently and are escalating in ways that rarely happened in the past. Through a partnership with Teacher CEU Toolbox, the NEA Academy earnestly promotes the “Workplace Violence In Schools” course to help prepare and empower educators and education support professionals, as well as decrease fear and anxiety concerning this issue.

In this 10-hour course, NEA members will establish a common framework of knowledge through case histories, gain appreciation for crisis management/training programs, understand  differing roles of staff and law enforcement,  and learn strategic tools to effectively participate in and contribute to the safety of their school and workplace environment.
