Education quality is theme of IEA radio ad

IEA’s advocacy for education improvement is highlighted in a new radio ad that coincides with the beginning of the new school year.

The new ad, featuring Illinois Teacher of the Year Annice Brave, talks about IEA’s advocacy for policies that, “… value our educators, raise standards and accountability in the classroom and ensure every student benefits from high quality teachers and a well-run school.”

“The IEA radio campaign is designed to make sure the public and policymakers get a greater understanding of who IEA members are and what we truly stand for,” said IEA President Cinda Klickna.

“Whether we’re advocating for pay and benefits that allow districts to attract and retain quality employees, or promoting policies that help ensure the best teachers remain in classrooms, our top priority is always doing what’s right for our students. No one cares more, or has more knowledge about what students need, than the people who work in our schools.”

The radio ads can be heard on the affiliates of the Illinois Radio Network, as well as on select stations throughout Illinois.

In addition, IEA ads will be heard on the Chicago Bears Radio Network affiliates during game broadcasts all season long.
